Performance, Festiwal Łódź Wielu Kultur.
A continuation of director Michał Zadara's art-and-nature project, in which he and researchers from the University of Łódź marked out a 400-square-meter meadow fragment in Park Ocalałych in 2024 and left it without human intervention, inspired by the research of British writer Isabella Tree. After more than two years of this experiment, audiences will be able to observe the rewilded area and listen to a recording of an accompanying performative lecture.
The event poses the question of what art can do in the face of climate catastrophe, proposing that sometimes action means refraining from intervention. Addressed to young people and adults interested in ecology and contemporary art, it requires no prior knowledge of natural sciences or familiarity with the project's previous iteration.
