Meetings, Łódź Wielu Kultur Festival.
A meeting with Marek Krzysztof Lasecki, a Deaf painter and graphic artist, about his work dedicated to mimicry, gestures, and emotions visible on the face. The artist will talk about portrait distortion and the use of intense color and expressive drawing to show movement and emotional tension, and the conversation will also touch on the role of facial expressions in Polish Sign Language grammar.
The meeting is accompanied by an exhibition "Gesture and Mimics g/Deaf", curated by Dr. Agnieszka Kołodziejczak from the University of Łódź. The event is aimed at people interested in contemporary art and sign language, both Deaf and hearing.
