WHO ARE YOU? ...

"Who Are You?" is an original production by Teatru A created for children and their families. The performance is a proposal for joint theatrical celebration of the 100th anniversary of Poland's regaining independence. The titular question refers to Władysław Bełza's poem "Catechism of a Polish Child". Questions from the work set the rhythm of the performance and became inspiration for subsequent "scenes". The creators emphasize that family celebration is meant to be first and foremost an opportunity for good fun. At the same time, honesty toward Polish history obliges them to seek a way to speak about difficult themes as well. The performance features: - a sensational story in which a certain elderly Lady's identity is questioned, - the fate of the potato on Polish lands, intertwined with the fate of the Battle of Vienna, - a white-tailed eagle that is "not quite from an eagle family", - the whiteness of the Polish flag, soaked with scarlet blood, - light geographical exercises over a scattered map of Poland, - a wild dance, awakened by a bell in the heart, because there, as the Poet wished, the Homeland is protected.
