Theater, Festiwal Łódź Wielu Kultur.
A solo performance by Marah Haj Hussein, a Palestinian dancer and performer from Kafr Jasif currently living in Antwerp, exploring multilingualism as both a personal and political matter. The artist moves between Palestinian Arabic, Hebrew, Dutch and English, weaving her personal narrative with recordings of family members living in Palestine speaking about the relationship between everyday Arabic and Hebrew as the state's official language. Haj Hussein combines storytelling with movement, sound and image, mixing humor with anger and tenderness, questioning what cannot be translated from one language to another. The performance is translated into Polish.
