Jacek and Placek, twin brothers, spend their days fooling around, being lazy, tormenting others, and even stealing. Unwilling to study or work in the future, they decide one day to steal the golden moon and sell it to have money for their idle life. They set off on a long and adventurous journey that will completely transform them. They meet various characters along the way: the Bog Mother, pelicans, a swarm of bees, robbers, and vagrants. Will they find themselves and make it back to their mother?
