Dance, Łódź Wielu Kultur Festival.
A dance performance and installation dedicated to Yanka Rudzka, a Łódź-born dancer and choreographer of Jewish descent who emigrated after the war and became a pioneer of contemporary dance in Salvador, Brazil. Rather than reconstructing her biography, the creators use dance, photography, and film to explore what remains elusive in this story: silences, broken family ties, and identity stretched between cultures. This is an international co-production featuring artists from Poland, Brazil, and Germany, including choreographer Joanna Leśnierowska, who has been researching Rudzka's legacy for over a decade, and Neemias Santana, a dancer from Salvador working in Afro-Brazilian traditions. The performance is accompanied by an installation accessible outside performance hours.
