Art, Łódź Wielu Kultur Festival.
Sculpture workshops for students of the Łódź ASP led by Belarusian artist Ala Savashevich, who lives and works in Wrocław. Participants will examine how form, scale, and placement of a monument influence its reception, and will then build their own small commemorative forms from cardboard and simple materials to honor what they consider important. In her work, Savashevich explores collective memory, trauma, and ways of building identity in societies marked by authoritarianism. Works created during the workshops will be displayed to festival audiences at Centrum Dialogu, and the event relates to the artist's sculpture presented at Centralne Muzeum Włókiennictwa from the exhibition "Na krawędzi chaosu".
