A drama by Diana Meheik based on the true story of Olena Popik, a twenty-one-year-old prostitute from Ukraine who was exploited by human traffickers for years before dying in Mostar from diseases contracted through sexual abuse. The work poses a fundamental question: what is the value of our life if we are stripped of our own body, thoughts, names, and language? Torn from her own environment and given a new name by her trafficker—Amala—Olena stands before the world as an eternal outsider, without a home in both geographic and metaphorical terms. Polish premiere at Scena Kameralna 20, 21, and 22 September 2019. Duration: 100 minutes.
