Different Differences of the Different. Series of Events around the Katarzyna Kobro Award 2026 with Museum of Art

The series "Different Differences of the Different" brings together Łódź institutions, initiatives and spaces that feel ideologically connected to the Katarzyna Kobro Award and wish to celebrate another year of its existence. Its guiding principle is to create connections not based on similarities, but by opening up to the diversity of artists' approaches. Events will take place from November 5–7, 2026. **Program:** - **Thursday, November 5, 2026** - 18:00, Galeria Olimpus, al. Tadeusza Kościuszki 24: opening of the exhibition "Natalia LL A Portrait Attempt". Key and most recognizable works by the artist will be shown, along with lesser-known documentary photographs, leaflets and archival materials that create a diverse record of neo-avant-garde artistic practice. - 20:00, Galeria WY, Wschodnia 54: performance by Zuzanna Szor "Ambient Hammer Nxjzksmnsnhx". An audiovisual performative action in which live music interacts with a plastic graphoscope projection. - **Friday, November 6, 2026** - 17:00, Kamienica Hilarego Majewskiego, ul. Włókiennicza 11: opening of the exhibition "Joanna Rajkowska Revolution 1905". The exhibition presents a photographic series in which the artist combines frames documenting revolutionary clashes with the contemporary landscape of Łódź. Archival photographs serve as Rajkowska's starting point for a narrative about the still-relevant brutality of political conflicts. - 20:00, Galeria Wschodnia, ul. Wschodnia 29: performance by Ola Kozioł "Didn't Fit Entirely". The action addresses the recognition and development of Katarzyna Kobro's artistic legacy, with particular attention to the inequality between the essence of her work and the possibilities provided by the existing space and time. - **Saturday, November 7, 2026**, all events at ms², ul. Ogrodowa 19 - 16:00 – guided tour of the exhibition "Ways of Seeing. Museum of Art in Łódź Collection Following the Paths of Katarzyna Kobro Award Laureates"
