Historical Walk 'Following the Footsteps of Female Prisoners from the Dzierżązna Camp'

A guided historical tour of the former Nazi camp in Dzierżązna that operated as a branch facility for Polish children during 1943–1944. Participants will explore the manor, farm buildings, and park, comparing current structures with archival photographs. The walk will feature accounts of the prisoners' fates and their testimonies documenting their tragic experiences. The program includes a 9:45 AM meeting point at Plac Komuny Paryskiej (Orlen Gas Station in Łódź), departure at 10:00 AM, and arrival in Dzierżązna at 11:00 AM. The two-hour tour is followed by a meeting with Blanka Magdalena Hauke titled 'On our farm there is work and hunger – remembering the girls of Dzierżązna in Zgierz commune,' focusing on memory's role in local spaces and post-war fates of former prisoners through reunion photographs and documentation.
