The Łodzianin Card is a benefits package that can be used by any adult resident of Łódź who meets strictly defined criteria. The procedure for obtaining such a Card is not difficult, and the costs are minimal, while the benefits can turn out to be enormous. What's worth knowing about the Łodzianin Card?

Conditions that must be met to receive the Łodzianin Card

The basic condition for obtaining such a Card is adulthood. Its owner can only be an adult. Anyone who lives in Łódź, regardless of whether it is their birthplace or whether they are a new resident of the city, can check whether they meet any of the criteria listed below. A person applying for the Łodzianin Card should:

• file personal income tax returns in Łódź,
• be a student at a Łódź university,
• be a doctoral student at a Łódź university,
• be registered as unemployed at the Łódź Employment Office,
• be an adult student at a Łódź secondary school, technical school, or vocational school,
• be a person with disabilities receiving a disability benefit,
• be a caregiver for a person with disabilities,
• operate a farm within Łódź.

Validity period and costs associated with obtaining the Łodzianin Card

The validity period of the Resident Package begins from the moment of purchase and ends on May 31 of the following year. After the validity period expires, further use of the Card is possible only if the application is submitted again and the necessary documents are provided. Activation of the Łodzianin Card costs 1 PLN. It's worth knowing that the plastic card has no validity period and can be used at all times with no need to replace it every year.

How can you use the Resident Package?

After positive verification of the applicant's documents, the applicant receives access to a mobile application and (if necessary) their own copy of the Łodzianin Card. The mobile application can be downloaded for free from App Gallery, AppStore, or Google Play Store. The data needed to log into the application is the same as for logging into an account on the website www.kartalodzianina.pl. Moreover, plastic cards can be collected for free at a selected service point. Both the phone application and the plastic Card have an individual QR code and barcode that you can simply show at the checkout before using a Partner's offer. However, you should remember that discounts can only be used if the Card is presented during each visit to the Partner, not just on the first occasion.

Getting a refund or deleting an account – how to do it?

In the event that the application for the Resident Package is rejected, a refund of 1 PLN is returned to the account. To receive a refund, you need to log into your account on the website mentioned above www and select the "reports" tab from the menu on the left side and then "create new". The completion of this procedure is filling out a short form and sending it to the organizers. The money will be refunded to the account from which the payment was made within 14 business days.

It's worth knowing that there is always the possibility of correcting the application and submitting a different document. Next to the rejected application there is a "correct application" button, using which you can make corrections. Submitting new documents for verification does not require paying a fee.
