About St. Anna Roman Catholic Cemetery
The St. Anna Roman Catholic Cemetery on ul. Lodowa is a place rich in Łódź history. The graves of many important figures from the city's past can be found here — industrialists, scientists and artists. A walk through the cemetery reveals its architectural heritage.
Founded in the 19th century, the cemetery at ul. Lodowa 78 is one of the main cemeteries in Łódź. The site preserves the memory of numerous generations of city residents, and the tombstones and monuments scattered throughout serve as architectural documentation of various eras — from prewar monumental gravestones to more modern commemorations. Many visitors come here not only for family reasons.
