A former limestone quarry southeast of Sulejów, now used as an advanced MTB cycling route.

Former limestone mine

Centuries of limestone extraction, both organised and informal, have left the landscape with distinctive undulating terrain featuring scarps, sinkholes and limestone rubble heaps. Today a several-kilometre MTB route runs through it with gradients reaching 70 per cent, marked out and maintained by local mountain biking enthusiasts and marked with pink arrows on trees.

Surroundings

Nearby are Wapienniki and Regionalna Izba Pamięci w Sulejowie [Regional Memory Room in Sulejów]. The route organisers want to develop Kopuły into a recognised MTB centre in time, with nearby meadows suitable for cycling competitions.
