A mural on a car park wall in the OFF Piotrkowska zone, painted in 2016 by the duo Etam Cru together with Robert Proch, combining a static still-life scene with a dynamic depiction of a dog.
The mural on ul. Roosevelta 18 in Łódź is a collaborative work by the duo Etam Cru and Poznań-based artist Robert Proch, painted in September 2016 on the wall of a car park in the OFF Piotrkowska Zone. It was created as part of the international public art project UNIQA Art Łódź.
Etam Cru, consisting of Mateusz Gapski and Przemek Blejzyk, known as Bezt and Sainer, joined forces with Robert Proch, an artist from Poznań working under the pseudonym Tone. The result is a composition combining two different approaches: Etam Cru's static scene with a man and still life on a table, and Proch's dynamic depiction of a dog.
The artists worked on the mural for eight days, sometimes for 10 hours daily. The finished work covers approximately 700 square metres of wall and is rendered in muted colours, focused around the central composition.
Etam Cru are the creators of several other recognisable Łódź murals, including works at aleja Politechniki and ul. Uniwersytecka. Robert Proch is a graduate in visual communication, and his large-scale works are created in many European cities. His style, produced under the pseudonym Tone, draws from animation and the painting of Francis Bacon.
