Iglica Shooting Range

Iglica Shooting Range is an air rifle shooting range at ul. Czyżewskiego 7 in Bełchatów, run by the Sport Shooting Section "Iglica" at Bełchatowski Klub Lekkoatletyczny [Bełchatów Athletic Club]. Athletes train here shooting from air rifles and air pistols in Olympic competitions, and the club also welcomes people who are just starting out in shooting sports.

History of the facility

The shooting range officially opened on 27 October 2014. It was established as a training base for air rifle shooting for the section operating at BKL, replacing earlier temporary shooting conditions.

Equipment and parameters

The facility has six shooting positions, each with a bullet trap and target transporter, allowing targets to be quickly changed between rounds without entering the firing line. The shooting distance is 10 metres and meets the requirements of the Polish Association of Sport Shooting, making it possible to hold competitions classified in the official shooting system, alongside regular internal section training.

Disciplines and club offer

The "Iglica" section trains air rifle shooting in two competitions: rifle and pistol, according to standards adopted in Olympic shooting. The club runs classes for young people, adults and seniors, prepares candidates for the firearms licence examination, and also organises competitions and training for people outside the section, making the facility one of the few places in Bełchatów for systematic sport shooting instruction.

Access rules

The shooting range operates on designated days of the week, and the schedule may change during competitions and closed training sessions, so it is worth checking the timetable before visiting by telephone or email.
