Colourful mural by Mexican artist Paola Delfin on a wall at ulica Jana Brzechwy. Worth seeing for street art and photography enthusiasts.
A mural by Mexican artist Paola Delfin titled Healing is located on the gable wall of a residential building at ulica Jana Brzechwy 3 on Widzew. The work was created in 2015 as part of the activities of the Urban Forms Foundation, which has organised the Urban Forms festival in Łódź since 2008 and created a permanent gallery of murals in the city's public space.
Paola Delfin is an artist from Mexico who trained as a painter rather than as a typical street artist. She is distinguished by her use of light and shadow, which is visible in every work. Her approach combines academic technique with mural expression, creating works that unite beauty with profound reflection.
The mural depicts the portrait of a dark-skinned woman with her head bowed, partly obscured by her shoulder. The artist used coloured patches in shades of violet, blue and dark pink, creating an atmosphere of intimacy and contemplation. The title Healing suggests the theme of inner healing and personal transformation.
The mural is part of the Urban Forms Gallery, Poland's largest collection of large-scale murals in public space. The Foundation has installed information panels at the murals with details about the artist and the work, helping visitors learn the history of each piece. The gallery is documented, among other sources, on Wikimedia Commons, making it accessible to researchers and art enthusiasts worldwide.
