Strzelnica Poligon is a venue for those wanting to try their hand at shooting. It is located in Zapady and offers the opportunity to practise under the supervision of instructors.
Strzelnica Poligon operates in the village of Zapady near Skierniewice and offers covered shooting stands for amateur and regularly training shooters. The facility accepts visitors by reservation, both for single training sessions and for competitions held there. Its location outside the built-up urban area means shooting takes place away from traffic and residential buildings, which is important for this type of facility.
Strzelnica has four stands at different range lengths: two at 25 metres, one at 100 metres and one at 200 metres. All are covered, so shooting takes place regardless of weather. The facility provides various types of firearms, both for training and recreational shooting under the supervision of an instructor.
Staff conduct classes from theoretical foundations through to practical training on the range, making the venue accessible to people without prior experience. Instruction covers safety rules and firearm handling before participants move to their chosen stand. The range regularly hosts shooting competitions, attracting competitors from various regions of Poland, which testifies to the facility's standing among those involved in sport shooting. The facility also has a bonfire site, allowing training to be combined with a gathering for a larger group, for example during a team-building trip.
The facility is located outside Skierniewice itself, so a good way to supplement a visit is to combine it with exploring the city centre.
