An artificial reservoir with a guarded beach, water slides, mini-golf and a campsite, managed by the local municipal culture centre.
Zalew w Przedborzu is an artificial water body with a supervised bathing beach, sandy shore and extensive recreational facilities. In summer, a water slide, minigolf and equipment hire operate here, and throughout the year the reservoir serves anglers and kayakers as a point on the river. The facility is managed by Miejski Dom Kultury w Przedborzu [Municipal House of Culture in Przedbórz], so information about the season and opening hours should be sought on its website, not at the city office.
The sandy beach and bathing area are equipped with water slides, climbing walls, an open-air gym and a minigolf course. Safety of swimmers during the summer season is supervised by a lifeguard. The centre of the reservoir is decorated with an illuminated fountain, and a walking path runs along the shore for those who prefer a walk to swimming.
On the opposite side of the reservoir are a tennis court, basketball court, football pitch, volleyball court and skatepark. This makes the reservoir a place for a full day out, not just an hour in the water, and children and young people have activities to do after leaving the bathing area.
The camping field has its own car park, toilets and showers, so it is suitable for longer stays, not just a day trip. There is also a food bar at the reservoir serving, among other things, traditional Przedbórz kugel, as well as barbecue and campfire areas for those staying at the camping field.
The reservoir is a fishing ground where you can catch pike and carp among other species, and fishing platforms are prepared along the water. It is also a place where you can start or end a kayak trip. The reservoir has been systematically documented in photographs by an independent online gallery operating since 2006, which shows how long it has served as a local recreational area.
