A kayak rental on the Pilica river in Spała, with trips running through the Spała Landscape Park and nature reserve to Zakościele; a campervan site next door lets you combine an overnight stay with the paddling.
Kajaki Spała – CamperPark Plaża is a kayak rental point on the Pilica, combined with a field for motorhomes and caravans. Paddling trips follow the Spała-Inowłódz-Zakościele route, with part of the trail running through the Spalski Park Krajobrazowy (landscape park) and the Spała nature reserve.
The paddle runs from the beach in Spała down the Pilica, through Inowłódz, to Zakościele, and along the way the river flows through the Spalski Park Krajobrazowy and the Spała nature reserve.
This means the route combines recreation with passage through a protected area, where the river channel and surrounding forest have retained their natural character, without significant riverside development.
A CamperPark operates at the rental facility, a parking field for motorhomes and caravans with a grass and earth surface.
This arrangement allows you to combine a night under canvas or in a motorhome with a paddle the next day, without moving to another location. The exact number of parking spaces is not given, so for larger groups it is better to ask about availability in advance. The proximity of the field to the beach and kayak rental point matters especially in the morning, when a group wants to get on the water straight after breakfast.
Booking and information about paddles are available by telephone on 793-793-575 or 883-952-509, or by email at kajakispalainowlodz@gmail.com.
The operator's website does not give fixed opening hours for the point, so before arriving, especially outside season, it is better to call ahead and arrange a paddle date.
Spała has more reasons for a longer stay than just the paddle, as the Dąb Niepodległości stands nearby, and a little further on there is the Park Linowy w Spale.
You can plan the day to combine a kayak paddle with a short walk to the memorial oak or a visit to the rope courses, if there is still time before returning to the CamperPark.
