Former municipal meat market from the turn of the 20th century with an irregular shape and originally twelve stalls, now closed to trade and used for storage.
The building of the former municipal butcher stalls stands at ulica Przedborska 10 in Radomsko. It was built at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries as a meat market and retains its original, unusual shape to this day.
The building was erected by Franciszek Oczkowski, owner of a mechanical workshop and tool store, and also an activist in the Volunteer Fire Brigade, church supervision and the city council.
The building originally consisted of twelve identical retail units where slaughtered meat was sold. The seller would open a window facing the street, which served as a counter for customers standing outside.
The building does not stand in a straight line, which results from the irregular shape of the plot available to the builder. Its sloping roof, supported by old original rafters, is also characteristic.
The stalls are no longer in commercial use and serve as storage rooms. In September 2025, the Regional Museum in Radomsko organised a historical walk during which the building's history was discussed and questions were raised about its future.
A few hundred metres further down the same street, there is the art gallery "Przystanek Cooltura". In the city centre it is also worth visiting the Regional Museum in Radomsko, the Market Square in Radomsko and the Collegiate Church of Saint Lambert.
