The Woonerf on 6th August Street (ul. 6. Sierpnia 1) in Łódź is a pioneering example of a "living street" - a shared space designed for both pedestrians and cyclists, with the traffic calmed and greenery added. It was one of the first such urban regeneration projects in Poland and has become a model for similar initiatives across the country.
