120 Years of Elektrownia Łódzka | Centrum Nauki i Techniki EC1

On May 23–24, 2026, Centrum Nauki i Techniki EC1 celebrates the 120th anniversary of the start of construction of Elektrownia Łódzka. This is an excellent opportunity to journey through the past and trace the city's development, of which the power plant at Targowa 1/3 was a part. We will venture into the early 20th century and together arrive at the moment of revitalization of historic buildings in the heart of the city. From modernity to one of Łódź's most recognizable landmarks, EC1 today. Our guides will be Jakub Berg – a character portraying a former director (played by Maciej Stępeń, a CNiT EC1 animator) and Paweł Żuromski – manager of the EC1 Łódź revitalization project and former CNiT EC1 director – a person with unique knowledge whose memories will allow us to understand the complex undertakings.
