1968 / Run, Little Run

Inspired by the turbulent events of 1968, the creators of this production explore the roots of generational rebellion. They focus on stories of positive discoveries from this cultural revolt, which—particularly in America and Western Europe—was a time of countercultural music, pacifist thought, ecological and emancipatory ideas. The acting ensemble embodies researchers of the past, weaving narratives about 1968's events. The phenomenon of student protests scattered worldwide, from Warsaw to Mexico City, becomes contemporary inspiration for examining ways to cope with the weight of political and social upheaval that often leaves individuals helpless. In the musical layer of the production, we revive on the stage of Teatr Nowy the Łódź Jewish ensemble 'Śliwki'...
