About this event
A program built around Andrzej Wajda's Notebooks published in 2024—filled with reflections, anecdotes, sketches, and traces of his creative process. Nine film pairs present Wajda's works in dialogue with filmmakers from France, Italy, USA, Belgium, Germany, and Japan, revealing his cinema in new contexts, tensions, and meanings. The program includes: "A Man of Marble", "Ashes and Diamonds", "Danton", "Katyń", "The Conductor", "Innocent Sorcerers", and films by Jean-Luc Godard, Federico Fellini, Michelangelo Antonioni, Chantal Akerman, Raúl Ruiz, Bertrand Bonello, and Kenji Mizoguchi.
