Baby Boom Bum Sunday 0-1

Baby Boom Bum is a music class at Filharmonia Łódzka for the youngest children, up to one year old. The classes are led by certified instructors of Edwin Eliasii Gordon's method. The workshops are based on the concept of Edwin Elias Gordon (1927-2015), an American musician, jazz musician and educator. Gordon believed that music should be treated like a language that a person learns from the first moments of life, learns to understand it and uses it to communicate. He emphasized that young children are most receptive: "Those who know a lot about child development sometimes joke that they would like to die as small children, but as late as possible. They are aware that learning abilities are never greater than at the moment of birth. Therefore, accepting that the most important period for learning is from the first moments after birth (and perhaps even before that) until the end of the third year of life, one should guide the child so that it receives unstructured, informal influences."
