Canes of Karabakh | concert at Fabryka Sztuki

Date: April 16 | Thursday, 8:00 PM. Venue: Fabryka Sztuki stage. Admission: free. Canes of Karabakh was formed in 2025. The band's sound is defined by the duduk – an Armenian wind instrument with over a thousand years of history. Its expressive qualities carry both the warmth of apricot wood and the dramatic melody of the Middle East. Stories woven through the duduk are enhanced by flugelhorn and electronics, creating a multilayered, evocative whole. The name Canes of Karabakh refers to Nagorno-Karabakh – the region where the reeds used to make the best-sounding duduk reeds originate. Today, following the occupation of these territories by Azerbaijanis, Armenians no longer have access to them.
