The Wizard of Oz - Premiere

For ages 8+. A theatrical adaptation of L. Frank Baum's novel in a completely new version by acclaimed young Polish playwright Sandra Szwarc. The production reinterprets this classic children's literature through the lens of contemporary America. Dorothy's world becomes a cultural map of myths, icons, fears and dreams encoded in popular culture, which greatly influences European and Polish culture. The dramaturgical layer draws on road movie aesthetics, superhero cinema, youth serials, and contemporary family films that explore themes of maturation, otherness, and the search for identity.
