About this event
"Dog Therapy" is a series of intergenerational workshops with a dog at PINOTEKA Teatru Pinokio, held on selected Wednesdays. Participants discover the world of dogs through play, experience, and direct contact with a specially trained dog. The classes develop empathy, teach responsibility, and promote safe relationships with dogs.
Each session is active and combines canine education, dog therapy, movement activities, social skills exercises, and sensory experiences. The program is tailored to participants' age and needs. Topics of upcoming sessions:
- 2.09 - A taste instead of a kiss, or safe contact with a dog: rules of behavior around dogs, reading their signals, and building relationships based on respect and trust.
- 30.09 - Dogs' needs: what a dog needs to be healthy and happy, and basics of responsible pet care.
- 18.11 - Dog superpowers, the nose: how dogs use their sense of smell daily and at work, plus basics of nose work dog sports.
