European Heritage Days: Księży Młyn. A Past with a Future.

Among brick mills, workers' tenements and former factory owners' residences, we will discuss the Scheibler, Grohman and Kohn families, as well as today's Księży Młyn – a space of culture, education and creative activities. We will examine how the Museum of Cinematography, Film School and other institutions co-create the new identity of this place, and what challenges are involved in protecting, revitalizing and ensuring the future of this unique complex aspiring to be inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The meeting is led by Robert Konsztat – art historian and adjunct lecturer in the Education and Film Culture Department of the Museum of Cinematography in Łódź.
