Vietnam may seem like a distant, mysterious world – a country where games are played on stones, spectacles are staged on water, and every home has a family altar. In Vietnamese culture, every name has its meaning, and traditions are an important part of daily life. But what is life like for Vietnamese people who have lived in Poland for years? How do they combine customs from their homeland with the realities of their new place? During a meeting with Tôn Vân Anh, author of "Vietnam for the Curious", we will discuss what it's like to learn a new language, country and customs while preserving your own roots. The workshops will be an opportunity to discover Vietnamese culture "from the inside", ask questions and examine what connects and what differs between the everyday lives of two worlds.
