One of the most magnificent silent films – and one of the greatest comedies in cinema history – celebrates its 100th anniversary this year. We pay tribute to Buster Keaton's genius: a giant of film burlesque, king of brilliant gags, and master of slapstick. Generał is war cinema, action cinema, romance and a comedy stunning in precision all in one. Keaton's film takes us on a chase across America, filmed entirely on location with hundreds of extras and stunt sequences that no one dared to repeat afterwards. The film features a spectacular orchestral score by acclaimed silent film composer Carl Davis. (PAST PERFECT)
