Adolphe Adam's romantic ballet in two acts. Choreography by Zofia Rudnicka based on Jean Coralli and Jules Perrot's original work. Musical direction by Andriy Yurkevych. Costumes and scenography by Tatiana Kwiatkowska. Lighting design by Maciej Igielski. Premiered October 12, 2024. This iconic romantic era ballet tells of unhappy love and is based on a Hercynian legend about the spirits of young women who died before marriage. Libretto by Jules-Henri Vernoy de Saint-Georges and Théophile Gautier.
