About this event
A solo performance based on Sándor Márai's "Księga ziół" (Book of Herbs), written, directed, and performed by Anna Seniuk. Called a "stand-up on sitting down" by Seniuk, this fully original theatrical piece is an analysis of the actress's artistic journey and life experiences. Inspired by Márai's reflective work - a modern herbal remedy for the soul and heart - Seniuk uses this form as a starting point for a personal and moving narrative. Translation of Márai's prose by Feliks Netz (Wydawnictwo Czytelnik, 2003).
