About this event
"Lektura Kina" is a series of meetings where we discuss new film-related books with their authors. Each event includes a screening of a specially selected film or block of short films. This format allows viewers to verify the theses presented in the text, engage in dialogue with the proposed interpretation model, and become familiar with rarely accessible audiovisual works. On June 1, 2026: E.T. (1982) screening + meeting with author Karolina Kostyra discussing her book "Secret Life of Objects: Topography of a Child's Room in 1980s Science Fiction Cinema" (2025). The book aims to map the topography of a child's room in fantasy cinema of that era.
