Maciej Tubis "About Chopin…"

Maciej Tubis will perform a concert "About Chopin…", which offers a personal perspective on Frédéric Chopin's music from the viewpoint of a contemporary pianist and improviser. The artist draws on Chopin's compositions and motifs, develops them through improvisation, and juxtaposes them with his own music. The project aims to be a dialogue with tradition and an attempt to demonstrate how vital and inspiring Chopin's language remains today. Maciej Tubis is a pianist, composer, and improviser, and an adjunct lecturer at the Academy of Music in Łódź. He has been awarded the Bronze Cross "Zasłużony Kulturze Gloria Artis". He performs continuously in prestigious venues in Poland and abroad, both as a soloist and as the leader of his own projects. His albums ("Komeda: Reflections", "Into The Night") and numerous concerts have been well received by audiences and critics. His latest projects expand the language of contemporary piano music with elements of improvisation, electronics, and neoclassical sound.
