Iwaszkiewicz's Labyrinth of Love - A Meeting in the Shadow of 'The Ladies from Wilko' at MSK: Widzew Wschód - Dom Kultury 502

During this event, we will present the film 'Summer in Byszewach,' inspired by Jarosław Iwaszkiewicz's renowned short story 'The Ladies from Wilko.' This poetic film, created in 2020 in Łódź and its surroundings, beautifully evokes the elegant interwar years of the 1920s. The film features Łódź actors and was created by screenwriter Michał Wieczorek, cinematographer Viktoria Marinov, set and costume designer Monika Czubaczyńska Szram, director Karolina Lutczyn Friedek, and composer Tomasz Jagoda—all artists connected to our city. The film will be preceded by a lecture on fascinating facts from the life of Jarosław Iwaszkiewicz, presented by Masza Bogucka, an actress, cultural animator, and educator at MSK.
