About this event
OKO - assembly of visual artists is a new project by the RVVK association, organizer of the Ravekjavik festival, which for 10 years has been bringing together electronic music with visual arts. The first edition will take place on October 31, 2026 at Fabryka Sztuki in Łódź. The event combines exhibitions, installations, projections, audiovisual performances, lectures and discussions. It aims to create a space for meetings between artists and creative industry representatives. The program includes light, sound, multimedia installations and experimental electronics. OKO is directed at creators and art lovers using modern technologies, bringing together lighting designers, VJs, digital artists and installation designers. These are not classical trade fairs.
At Fabryka Sztuki, installations and works by renowned artists and design studios from across Poland will be displayed. Among the invited creators are: Ksawery Komputery, panGenerator, Szum CC, and Ludwik AV. Young artists selected in an open call will also present their projects. Part of the exhibition extends beyond Fabryka Sztuki: at Maszynownia in the Fuzja complex, you can see "Bios" by Ksawery Komputery.
The conference section was created in collaboration with the University of Łódź. It includes: a presentation by Paweł Janicki on interactivity and interpassivity in art using examples of his own work, a presentation by Łukasz Szałankiewicz on early digital cultures, and a panel "The Importance of Multisensory Experience in Audiovisual Performances" on art reception through different senses, with participation of dr. hab. Maciej Ożóg from the University of Łódź, dr hab. Agnieszka Jelewska, prof. UAM, and dr hab. Anna Nacher, prof. UJ.
The event concludes with audiovisual performances and DJ/VJ sets. On two parallel stages, experimental, new and dance music will play accompanied by visual activities.
