"It started innocently - with a trip to Wolin, partly for the children, partly out of curiosity. I was only meant to accompany. I stayed for twenty years. Amid the smoke of fires, the sound of tools and stories told between market stalls, I began to look more carefully. At faces. At gestures. At people who, for a moment - or forever - stepped out of modernity and returned to ancient worlds. In time, this path led me further - to Birka, among the silence of Viking graves and to Biskupin, where we breathe history. Everywhere there, I did the same thing: I captured glimpses. This is not a story about costumes. This is a story about being - about returning to roots, to Slavic heritage, to a time before the names and borders we know today. Photography became my way to preserve this world - if only for a moment."
