"Ostatni gasi światło" - Author Meeting with Marta Madejska at MSK: Teofilów

The author will discuss the behind-the-scenes creation of her book, her work with archives, documents and libraries, and the stories that form this important narrative about memory, community and transformation. Marta Madejska is a Polish writer, editor, social archivist and researcher, author of books and articles on oral history and social history of Poland. For her book "Aleja Włókniarek" about the history of women workers in Łódź's textile industry, she received the Złoty Exlibris literary award (2018) and was nominated for the Identitas Literary and Historical Award (2022). She is a fellow of the Visegrad Literary Residencies (2020), recipient of the President of Łódź City Artistic Scholarship, and participated in artistic residencies at cultural centers.
