Underground Łódź in the Biedermann Gardens – A Walk Along the Trail of Łódź Rivers and Canals | Pałac Biedermanna

We will search for remnants of former factory ponds and the system once used to treat industrial wastewater. We will also try to find traces of forgotten tributaries of the Łódka River, which have completely disappeared from the urban landscape, as well as sites connected to the former border between Łódź and Bałuty. We will discover a medieval road leading from Łódź to Brzeziny. This will be a walk through several centuries of Łódź's history – recorded not only in buildings, but also in water, landscape, and remnants of former infrastructure. We invite everyone who wants to see Łódź differently and learn stories hidden in places we often pass without realizing their extraordinary past.
