Pola Nireńska. Open Rehearsal | PREMIERE of the performance | Łódź Wielu Kultur Festival

Theater, Łódź Wielu Kultur Festival. A premiere of a performance inspired by the life of Pola Nireńska, a Polish dancer and choreographer of Jewish descent, who had to flee the Holocaust and spent decades building her artistic practice across countries, languages and cultures. On stage, actress Agnieszka Przepiórska, the author of the concept, meets dancer Anna Krysiak, who is also responsible for the choreography, with direction by Maja Kleczewska. The performance is not a classical biographical narrative—the creators are primarily interested in memory recorded in the body and the question of whether art can preserve what threatens to be forgotten. Intended for audiences aged 16 and up and adults interested in theater, dance, and 20th-century history. The performance on September 21 will be interpreted into Polish Sign Language. Full festival program day by day: Festiwal Łódź Wielu Kultur on Dziś w Łodzi.
