POV: you're 12 years old and f****ed up | silent disco performance | Łódź Wielu Kultur Festival

Theater, Łódź Wielu Kultur Festival. The performance tells the story of twelve-year-old Arek, who struggles with school pressure, peer judgment, and bullying. He is accompanied by an inner voice called the Persistent Thought, which reminds him of his fears and difficult emotions. The boy finds solace in music and sounds created on a simple beat machine, which is why the performance was realized as theatrical silent disco: audiences listen to the action through headphones, allowing them to immerse themselves deeper in the protagonist's emotions. The text was written by Mariusz Gołosz, directed by Agata Biziuk, and the performance was prepared by Teatr Współczesny w Szczecinie. The show is aimed primarily at school youth, but also at teachers, educators, and parents who want to better understand the emotions accompanying growing up and the mechanisms of exclusion.
