Rajmundalia at the Monument of Rajmund Rembielinski

Annual ceremony honoring Rajmund Rembielinski, the 'Father of Industrial Łódź.' We will lay a basket of flowers at the foot of his monument. This event commemorates his visionary role in recognizing Łódź's industrial potential in the early 19th century and his plan to transform the small town into an industrial center. Following the 1820 decree by Regent General Józef Zajączek permitting factory settlements for weavers in state-owned cities, Rembielinski commissioned the design of the industrial textile settlement of Nowe Miasto in Łódź. The resulting urban plan remains one of the most recognizable images of Łódź's foundational development.
