"Rok dibála" – A Czech Film, Łódź Radio, and the 90s at NCKF EC1 Cinema

A screening of cult director Petr Zelinka's film starring Jaromír Nohavica, who embarks on a concert tour with his band Czechomor. What begins as an ordinary musical journey transforms into a series of absurd and mysterious events where music, alcohol, and supernatural experiences intertwine into an extraordinary story. The film explores Czech humor and detachment, Łódź's strong ties to Czech culture, and the golden era of 1990s radio. Following the screening, a discussion will feature Petr Vlček, director of the Czech Centre in Warsaw, and Jacek Grudzień, editor-in-chief of Radio Łódź, moderated by film scholar Michał Dondzik.
