Music, Łódź Wielu Kultur Festival.
Concert by the duo SHKOON, comprised of Syrian vocalist Ameen Khayer and German producer Thorben Diekmann. They met in Hamburg in 2015 when Khayer arrived in Germany as a refugee from war-torn Syria, and since then have blended traditional Arabic melodies and lyrics with deep house, dub, and downbeat, calling their musical creation diplomacy.
Their debut album Rima from 2019 combined Arabic folklore with Western electronics, while their latest Greater Than One returns to the duo's musical origins. The concert closes the musical evening on the open-air stage in Park Ocalałych, following performances by Rasm Almashan and Rashy Nahas. Recommended for fans of electronic and alternative music bridging East and West, no age restrictions.
