Although the contemporary, twin-towered, neo-Gothic red brick sanctuary was built at the end of the 19th century, this site remembers the beginnings of agricultural Łódź. It was here, on the former church hill, that the first wooden churches stood from the time when Łódź was not yet the promised land of factory owners, but a quiet episcopal town.
