Exhibition of African Violets at Palmiarnia

African violets (Saintpaulia) are plants native to the humid tropical forests of East Africa, primarily Tanzania and Kenya. Approximately 20 botanical species exist worldwide, but over the years, breeders have developed hundreds of varieties differing in size, flower colors, and leaf shapes. This year's exhibition focuses on the diversity of African violet leaves, showcasing various characteristic types such as 'boy' leaves (smooth and classic) and 'girl' leaves (with wavy, delicately serrated edges), among other distinctive forms.
