JAN GAĆ is a historian, photographer, traveler, guide, and author of books and articles on historical, religious, travel, and art topics. He studied history at the University of Łódź in his hometown, philosophy in Poznań, and photography in Pennsylvania and New York. He has specialized in the history of France during the reign of Louis XIV (the Revocation of the Edict of Nantes). For many years, he has studied the history and culture of Byzantium, countries of the Mediterranean basin, pre-Columbian cultures and civilizations, and colonial architecture from Mexico to Peru. His travels are always thematic and educational in nature, carefully planned and meticulously prepared. The fruits of his journeys are in-depth studies on given topics.
