Against his family's expectations, Karol Śliwka leaves his village to pursue artistic studies in Warsaw, focusing on graphic sign design. His work fills communist Poland and defines the country's visual landscape. His signs don't hang in galleries but are present in Polish homes, on streets, in institutions and workplaces. Simultaneously, he leads an ordinary family life, which he passionately documents for years. This exceptionally talented creator is considered one of the world's most important sign designers. The film is a kaleidoscope of archival materials and memories revealing a fascinating portrait of a man and an era, a journey through changing Poland.
