Exhibition visit at Kuźnia Romów and walk along the borders of the former Roma camp with the Museum of Independence Traditions

Nearly five thousand Roma and Sinti from Austria were imprisoned in the ghetto. Due to tragic sanitary and food conditions in the camp and a typhus epidemic, approximately 700 people died. The remaining prisoners, from mid-December 1941 to mid-January 1942, were deported and murdered at Kulmhof, the first Nazi extermination camp in Chełmno nad Nerem. Visitors will view the permanent exhibition in the building known as Kuźnia Romów and walk along the borders of the former camp. Due to the nature of the presented content, the walk is intended for people over 13 years old. Younger children participate at the sole responsibility of their guardians. No registration required.
